How we make money

Check.casino is an affiliate site. We earn commission when a reader signs up at a casino via one of our links. This page explains exactly how that works.

TL;DR

Commission funds the site. It does not change our scores, rankings, or what we publish in the verdict. Casinos with the highest scores get the most prominent placement, regardless of which one pays us the highest commission rate.

What we earn

When you click a “Play Now” or “Visit” button on this site and subsequently register an account + make a qualifying deposit at the destination casino, we may receive a referral commission from that operator. The exact arrangement varies by operator (typically a revenue-share percentage or a one-off CPA payment).

You pay nothing extra. The commission is paid by the operator out of their existing marketing budget.

What commission doesn't change

  • Editorial scores. The 0–10 Our Score on every review is derived from our methodology — not from how much the operator pays us.
  • Rankings. The order of the “Best UK casinos” list, the top-3 ribbon on the homepage, and editorial picks are score-driven.
  • Verdicts. We publish 1-star player ratings, regulatory fines, and recurring complaints about operators we earn commission from.
  • Coverage. If a casino refuses an affiliate relationship with us, they still get reviewed when they meet our coverage criteria. We don't blacklist non-affiliate operators.

How affiliate links are marked

Every commercial link on this site is marked in two ways:

  • HTML rel=“nofollow sponsored noopener noreferrer” so search engines and browser privacy tools see it as a commercial endorsement.
  • Visible compliance disclaimers next to every bonus (“#ad. 18+. Gamble responsibly”) per UK Advertising Standards Authority and CAP Code rules.

Compliance

We operate under UK advertising standards including:

  • UKGC LCCP— UK Gambling Commission Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice (5.1.1 covering marketing of licensed gambling).
  • CAP Code— UK Committee of Advertising Practice rules (16.3.13 on the visibility of significant terms & conditions next to bonus offers).
  • ASA— UK Advertising Standards Authority guidance on affiliate disclosure.

We only review casinos licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. Our affiliate relationships are exclusively with UKGC-licensed operators.

This disclosure is reviewed quarterly. Last updated 2026-05-29.
